Giving Students Options

Every child has the right to a quality education, but the traditional public school does not work for every student. Milburn Schools provide individual attention from teachers and a smaller, family-like environment to help ensure student success.

Transferring Credits?

Credits are transferable to any United States high school and are accepted by most colleges and universities.

Our Schools

Not every student fits in, feels comfortable, or can keep pace in a mainstream high school.

Most of our students have come from high schools of 3,000-5,000 students where they felt anonymous, overwhelmed, and lost. As their frustration with school grew and their performance declined, often the result was to simply to drop out of high school.

We believe that in the right school setting with the right teachers, every student can succeed.

Through NESI's Milburn Schools Division, we give students options.

  • Public Charter High Schools
We provide educational services to Richard Milburn Academies (RMA) in Florida and Texas.
  • Contract High Schools
Under contract with local school districts, NESI operates Richard Milburn High School (RMHS) in Chicago, IL; Raleigh, NC, and Northern VA.
  • Online High School Courses
Our Milburn High School Online provides students with fully accredited high school courses and a high school diploma program through the convenience of a self-paced, teacher-supported virtual classroom.

We offer solutions to dropping out

  • Smaller schools and class sizes help students receive more teacher interaction.
  • Our schools are less than 300 students with most class sizes under 20 students.
  • Our school directors and teachers know every student by first name.
  • Students feel safe, comfortable, and involved in our schools.

Milburn High School Online (MHS Online)

We offer an extended choice of fully accredited, online high school courses and programs to meet individual students' needs
  • Make-up courses
  • AP - Advanced Placement Courses
  • Academic year courses across all the required subject areas and electives
  • Remedial courses for addressing skill deficiencies in reading, composition and mathematics
  • Full online high school degree program.

A student can take partial or all of his/ her high school curriculum online through MHS Online and earn a fully accredited degree through Richard Milburn High School. Accessible teachers support and guide students through their courses while closely monitoring progress and helping them achieve subject mastery and course completion.
